Gun submersed in water
This may be a repost but it's a pretty cool video showing an AUG and an M92 being fired after being totally submersed. Makes me want to do a cool underwater insertion, not that I'd actually put my gun underwater.

Damn, that first part with the AUG looked great...
I always wondered how well an AEG and GBB can standup to harsh environments such as water and sand... ofcource I dont have the money to waste on a test sample ![]() Cheers, Alex |

Wouldn't water in the AEG cause it to implode or something?

if the battery is well sealed and all the connections and motor are water proofed.... all you would need is a good cleaning after IMO.

it's really hard on the motor. The magnets are ferrite and will rust. The motor core is iron. All of the fasteners and springs are carbon steel which rusts.
I think the gas gun would fare better as it doesn't have a motor, but the springs and fasteners would rust. Come to think of it, you also would get some interesting electrolytic effects at the battery connector and switch gear where the voltage differential is high. 8.4v/9.6v across a small gap so you'd get a little electrolysis which would corrode things really fast. A bit of electrolysed hydrogen and oxygen electrochemistry wouldn't cause a fire or anything (far too little production) but it'd degrade the metal contacts and switchgearsignificantly in about an hour. It would be better to put the gun in a heat sealed bag and shoot through the bag after surfacing or join the army and do it with the real thing.

4 word, selector plate short cut. If I would do this with my M4, bahhh I'd better not think about it!

I think any gun could do that, just dont dunk the battery under water.
