ACU vs. MARPAT Arrid

I'm trying to decide on the right camo for my gear, and I've narrowed it down to these two. I'm using an OD MBSS, and although I've seen OD with both patterns, I'm not sure which would be the best to go with. Anyone willing to lend opinions will be welcomed!

But that aside, what kind of field you play on?

I'm not really playing at any fields right now, the local guys are inactive, but I hope to play in the Osoyoos/Penticton/Kelowna area, where Arid would work well. Having said that, the ACU I had when I was there worked suprisingly well. My original plan was to get some authentic ABU, but it's really tough to find.
EDIT: I've found some ABU, so I'm adding that to my list of possibles as well.

So I've decided on a pair of AOR1 from Voodoo Tactical. I own one of their backpacks and I'm really impressed with it, so I decided to give them more of my money.

For the okanagan Multicam, Marpat, and most arid camoflouges work, ACU is a definite no.
ACU works well ONLY for mountain area or sometimes winter.

AOR1 will probably work well, I've seen tropentarn (German Flecktarn Desert) work surprisingly well.

Where exactly are you from?

Kelowna, West Kelowna, Penticton, Vernon, Osoyoos, Oliver...

The US Military has stated ACU doesnt work, by adding Brown into the uniform and then all out replacing it with MultiCam... which I have to say makes them hard to tell appart from the Royal Marine Commandos who are wearing the British MultiCam... oh well lol

ACU really isn't that bad if you're in the right place. If ACU works better where you are, then go with ACU. If MARPAT is better, than go with that.

/A lot of ACU bashers fail to realize that it was made around the same concept as multicam: appear dark in dark areas and light in light areas. You can see this in the two pics theshaneler posted.

ACU still looks cool, and that's all that really matters in Airsoft.

If you like ACU. Check out Rothco. They now make ACU combat shirts. The sleeves have zippered pockets with velcro. I picked up a set at my local ARMY/NAVY store. Really good quality and really cool and comfortable under my plate carrier vest. Much better than the standard ACU jacket if you have a lot of gear to put on for OPs.

I think it's cool too when the opposing team wear it. I like to see my targets clearly.

Seriously, IMO, that's the worst camoflage I've seen for everything but mountain warfare.

Last skirmish at Rawdon sand pit where we have both desert environement and forest environement, ACU was apropriate nowhere.

Rotco uniforme are low quality. Their color is off and the general build is on par with cheap chinese knockoff.
Get some Propers or other better brands.
