USP Light and Rail?
I have a couple questions:
Is the rail on the KWA USP the same as the real steel USP rail? Could I buy a real steel adapter or light meant for the real USP and put it on my airsoft pistol? Do anyone know a "cheap" light meant to fit on the USP without an adaptor? If I get an adaptor, which lights do you recommend? Thanks! Last edited by K3vX; May 10th, 2013 at 16:33.. |

Yes, fits the real ones (rail is wider than normal)
Once you get the adapter (really cheap anyways), you can install anything. The prefered light around is the M3, but really, you can have aything you like on there. |

You have a few options for lighting on a USP. The first and simplest being an adapter like Kos-Mos mentioned. The GG&G one is one of the best and lowest profile options, it will obviously open up the possibility of using any light you want. http://www.gggaz.com/hk-usp-flashlight-mounts.html
The second and one of my favorite lighting solutions is the Streamlight TLR-3. There is a USP specific model that uses a different rail key. This model is harder to find but a Streamlight dealer should be able to get it. Something you may have more luck with is getting a normal TLR-3 and the USP rail key/conversion separately. The Streamlight part numbers for reference are as follows: TLR-3 #69220 TLR-3, USP Full #69222 TLR-3, USP Compact #69221 Conversion kits for normal TLR-3/4 USP #69225 USP-C #69224 (These will work on a TLR-4 #69240as well) |

I have a TLR2 that fits without the adapter. I was quite suprised that it did fit without the adapter but it fits no problem.

Good to know. The m3 light with the rail adaptor looks nice on the USP.
But, isn't the M3 "xenon" or something like that, compared to LED? Does that make a huge difference? And, where do you recommend to purchase this light? Last edited by K3vX; May 11th, 2013 at 12:41.. |

I'm bumping this because I'd like to buy a M3 light:
Do you suggest repro or real? If repro, which one and where? On ebay, I can get the real one for +/- 110$, should I grab it? |

I would highly suggest getting the real one, it will be worth it. As for $110 that's an okay price but it can be had at Hamilton Tactical for $90, there is only one left though.
Another option that I thinks is the better deal is the TLR 1 on amazon for $113, that is one of the cheapest prices I have seen it for in Canada. http://www.amazon.ca/Streamlight-691.../dp/B000JWD16E |

Awesome! Now I just need to decide between the two...
M3 looks better on the USP TLR-1 is LED for only 23$ more... Also need to find the GG&G adapter in canada. Hum... Last edited by K3vX; May 12th, 2013 at 01:09.. |

I think Wolverine is the only place in Canada that has them right now. |

And that is the MK23 specific LAM unit. Real ones are discon, and ITAR restricted. Good luck finding one under 1.5k, then even more luck exporting from the States. People use the adapter and M6 light/laser combo instead... |

Update: I ordered the TLR-1 from Amazon.ca, rated at 135 lumen.
Surprise! On the box, it says 300 lumens, and the official Streamlight website says it's because they updated their product. Now I don't know if that's too bright or not, but I do find it incredibly powerful. |
